Hi, I'm Nowshin! I graduated from Oakland University with a bachelor's degree in journalism in April 2018. I found passion in journalism as a staff member and an editor at the Troy High yearbook. At Oakland University, I joined the campus newspaper, The Oakland Post, as a sports photographer and later served on the editorial board as photo editor. Since graduating, I have worked in several newsrooms in Troy, Mich., St. Joseph, Mich. and Cortland, New York. I'm a writer, photographer, designer and editor.

 

My interest in learning to tell people's stories led me to pursue a degree in journalism meanwhile developing a passion for photography. I enjoy covering sports events the most, but have experience taking photos for profiles, events and feature stories as well. I have written stories in the campus, life, sports and perspectives section of the Oakland Post. Some of my other published photos can be found in The Metro Times, TBD Magazine and USA TODAY College Guide Magazine.
